Brief: Transcending Social Media was brought in as part of a major restructuring of United Israel Appeal’s online presence. Over the course of 2013 Transcending Social Media began to help the UIA streamline its digital presence. Transcending Social Media opened up a Twitter account, set up the charity on both Google+ and LinkedIn to help boost Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and also began to combine their Facebook pages into one. Previously UIA had several Facebook pages for each State. Transcending Social Media recommended that these be merged to reduce confusion and improve discoverability through Facebook’s Graph Search.

Along with this Transcending Social Media spearheaded several ad campaigns throughout the year revolving around Jewish and Israeli holidays. Both growth and engagement has risen dramatically throughout the course of the relationship that UIA has had with Transcending Social Media. As UIA continues to expand into the digital realm Transcending Social Media will be there with them. Plans for the upcoming year include a mobile application to help ease people into digital donation, overhauling UIA’s website to include new and innovative social streams and bridging the gap between Australian Jews and their Israeli brethren through social media. As 2015 continues we’re excited to stand with UIA to help secure UIA’s position as one of the premier fundraisers for Israel.
